As an ATM card it allows you to deposit, transfer and withdraw funds at any automated teller machine displaying the: Pulse, Star, or Cirrus emblem. With this combination ATM/Visa debit card you never run out of checks. When used as a debit card the transaction amount is automatically debited from the cardholder's checking account just like a check. Certain daily dollar restrictions apply. To protect you from potential fraudulent transactions, we are introducing a new security feature to monitor your card’s activity. Fraud Risk Identification Service (FRIS) uses new technology to detect fraud on your card. As part of this technology, your card usage will be tracked to build a profile of your most common transactions.
Most purchases will be deemed low risk and the typical cardholder activity will be processed as normal transactions. From time to time a transaction may be deemed to be a slightly higher risk due to the frequency, dollar amount or location of the transactions. In these cases, you may receive a contact from FRIS to authenticate the transaction. Only if the transaction is extremely unusual will the card be disabled pending further communication with the cardholder. Foreign transactions are monitored more closely and receive higher risk ratings. As such, if you are planning on traveling outside of the United States, please call Community Bank & Trust Customer Service at 1-888-582-4440 at least one week before you depart. |
